Movie Night: Everyone’s Favorite
Movie Night is a popular event for many families. You may not have a huge, outdoor inflatable movie screen, but wouldn’t a large white bed sheet work as well?
Rotate who in the family chooses the movie. You can even encourage dressing up as your favorite character. Find a fun musical and each person can learn their own song and/or dance steps.
Set up a popcorn bar with all kinds of toppings and mix-ins, from sweet to savory. Have a selection of different flavored soda and let everyone mix their own unique combination, try adding things like jarred cherries, lime, or chocolate sauce.
Movie Night can be a Learning tool
Use the time after the movie to have a “Critic’s Discussion.” Each person telling what they liked and didn’t like about the movie, their favorite scene (explaining why), and if there was any part of the story they would change. This is a great way to gain insight into thought patterns and how someone may change.
